What a concept!!!!!

I have a divers... 77..01..07 whatever, the classic turtle that I purchased last summer. I wear it to the gym and anytime I feel it’s not safe/right/want to wear my Rolex. It’s a good watch and I got it at a great price, but it’s not the most attractive timepiece I ever owned (all you Seiko fanatics don’t hate me, I am comparing this to my Rolex!). Still, as a functional and good watch at a good price I doubt it can be beat.

Last night I am surfing the net, looking at Seikos, and WOW! I saw this blue faced version and was in awe. I wonder how it looks in person I thought and decided today, on my way to the gym I would stop by Macy’s, a Seiko dealer and see if they have it. It can NOT be there in the display case can it? I’m sure it’s a waste of time but will stop by for the heck of it. So I did this morning. LOW AND BEHOLD!!!! It must be a miracle, there it was in the display case!!!! The sales lady was very nice (although I have to say not the most knowledgeable, she said if I purchased it I get free battery replacements for life ) and pointed out there was: 25% off weekend sale, a 20% off friends and family sale, and if I wanted to open a Macy’s account an additional 20%. AND, my friend offered me $100 for my old Seiko! Bottom line: I walked in, saw the watch I wanted sitting in a display, and purchased it (for a net cost of about $150 from a $495 MSRP).

Rolex could learn a lot from this type of experience

Isn’t she a beaut!?

That's great feeling. Congrats! Not comparing with Rolex but if you want Rolex to offer same features as your Seiko(Day, Date, divers, rotating bezel) - it would be minimum $30K, just Day/date starts at $20K.

I love that dial and tried that same watch on a month ago. I’d buy a comparable model if they made a smaller version for the ladies. Sigh...
Wear it in good health!

My "Save the Ocean" says hello!

Not a Turtle, but the Samurai version. Going to replace the bracelet with a rubber strap, as it feels a bit cheap to me (when compared to my GMT and Hulk). Oh, that dial though...just wow.

Great watch. I bought my PADI version at Macy’s. I think the turtle is one of the best values out there.

Great watch and I believe it to be a good value when bought right. Seiko is a lot of fun and I have a good time buying, selling and trading. There is a whole world out there for Seiko and a lot of cool modifications can be done. Enjoy.

The STO was the third Turtle I bought in a year’s time. All it took was a pic on here and I was shopping. It has become my official bike riding watch.
Congrats on your purchase, the Macy’s near me usually have a good selection too.

Congrats Paul, it’s a great watch! I got mine at my local Macy’s too, and at a discount.

Who needs Rolex?

Nice snag, Paul!

Now, did you ask the sales lady out for dinner?

At that price you basically stole that watch Paul.....

As a lawyer I can confer with you for $500 per hour....or just send me the watch and we'll be square

Well done

Macy's is awesome the way they give you discounts on top of discounts!! Last time I went shopping at Macy's was in LA downtown. I got a pair of Levis for a ridiculous price close to $20.

PS: There appears to be a black stain on the bottom 1/3rd of you dial
