State of the collection (very seiko heavy)

This past year and a half has been absolutely wild with watches coming and going. One way it makes me sick, but in the other direction I’ve had an incredibly fun time figuring out what it is I exactly like. And it’s apparently clear that I love seiko and Grand Seiko more than any other brands.

I’ve gotten rid of a Zenith Defy, Panerai, Rolex, Girard Perregaux and zodiac. Almost all of the incomings were seiko in some form. But I had also traded a couple other Seiko’s to fund the other Seiko’s.

So my current collection is as follows

Back row, From left to right:

-Grand Seiko SBGC 205G
-Grand Seiko SBGH257 LE(Just received today)
-Seiko SLA025 LE
-Linde Werdelin Spidolite titanium
Front row, from left to right:

-Vintage King Seiko 5626-7110
-Seiko SKX 007
-Seiko Alpinist Blue dial LE
-Seiko Presage SJE073 LE
* not pictured Rolex Datejust, and a Girard Perregaux laureato 8010.

And a close up of my newest addition

I really only have one outright purchase on the horizon and it’s the SLA033. And I’m incredibly excited for that one.

I don’t really know why I love Seiko so much, but from the $200-10,000 range, they almost always punch above their weight in quality, function and looks than any other brands out there.

Hope you enjoy.

That is a beauty. I too have become enamored with Grand Seiko. Never really paid much attention to them, but once I gave them a chance I was hooked. Congratulations on the new addition.

Man, that diver with the blue tapisserie dial is something else. Wish I had the wrist for that.

Exactly. I’d already own one if it fit.

I have a 7” flat wrist and I think it fits just fine. But it’s definitely a beast. I didn’t really think I had the wrist for it either, and totally bought it without trying it on first, but I love it. I also think it looks great.

The dial is pretty awesome. This watch is so well made it’s tough to not just look at it.

I've tried on the SBGA231, it appears similar in size and it's a beast on me (6.5" wrist). Awesome piece though, titanium to boot. In my opinion, a Submariner pales in comparison.

If I could only own one watch, it would be a Grand Seiko.
