Unitime 43

Hi,

I am considering the Navitimer 8, Unitime (worldtime), which will be my first Breitling.

Does anyone have any experience of this watch?

Does the knurled bezel change the cities only, or is it linked to the second time zone too?

Can I set half hour differences (eg for India)?

I ask because my choices are either this, the JLC Worldtime 42 or 44mm, or the Ball. The Ball I can buy without a thought at that price point, but it is ugly; the JLC 42 is my favourite, but I need to save for another few months and the Breitling is affordable today with my savings.

I considered one but passed for now. The cities are very difficult to read, for me, even with readers on. The bezel spins but does not really serve a purpose. It does have a very hard to read marker but the bezel spins loosely enough that I wouldn't trust it to stay put. That bothered me, I didn't care for that. I really liked the look of the black dial one. The crown was very difficult to wind, I know that's what they say is normal for the newer Breitlings but I didn't like that. I can't answer about the India time.

It was very interesting over all how the watch worked. I really wanted to like it, and I do like it. I went in fully ready to buy the watch. But I passed. Was offered 15%. If it had been 30% I probably would have bought it.
