I think the quality is the same, what really sets the PP apart is the extra hand finishing on the movement, gold rotor and the complication.

I’ve got a platinum DD2 which serves as my daily watch. I also have a PP 5036 1/J (37mm yellow gold case/bracelet annual calendar). PP is for special occasions which is how I think of PP vs Rolex.
