Seiko Maintenance in SF

Hello! First time poster, long time reader!

I am new owner of a Seiko 6139-6005 Pogue, but it needs a little TLC. Does anyone know where I can get a good service with OEM parts in San Francisco or Bay Area?

OEM parts on a watch that hasn't been produce in over 30 years? Not gonna happen. There are a few part manufactures out there making aftermarket parts for them.

My company restores quite a few Seiko Pogue's and Bullhead's. Let me know if you need some help.

Maybe I misunderstand the terminology. I mean parts from Seiko. Doesn’t have to be parts made 30 years ago. Are you saying the only reasonable way to maintain is to buy aftermarket?

Do not send a vintage piece to a service center. www.kleinvintagewatchrepair.com is all you need to do. Spencer Klein is the BEST with vintage Seikos PERIOD.

There are other good service centers out there. Spencer is one of the best among others. Spencer is back up almost 2 years right now.

I am saying most parts are aftermarket. Seiko quit making them a long time ago. But there are some companies making top notch aftermarket parts.

I think a competent watchmaker can get the watch running nicely. It doesn’t sound like you’re switching dials, bezels, etc. If the movement needs to be serviced I’m sure you can go to many people not necessarily a Seiko specialist. You may end up paying more than what the watch is worth.
