I think the repair looks great. Glad to know for a fact that Dallas RSC does laser welding.

Damage from rsc
[UPDATE]
Hello Everyone: Wow! It appears this thread has quite a following. I thought I'd give everyone an update about my watch. I am overall very pleased. They replaced both the link sections at the 12 oclock and the 6 oclock, as well as the lumi dot. In addition, they offered to do a very light touch-up/polish via their specialty New Goods department that specializes in restoring watches back to factory finish. I was informed that I would not notice any difference between the watch pre- and post- touch up. I received my watch back and it looks spotless. Absolutely beautiful. The one thing I did notice was that one of the corners of the case seems slightly less sharp and crisp. I've attached photos below. It does bother me a little, but I do think that overall, the watch is in much better shape than it was. They made a solid effort to address my concerns, replaced the parts to which they had inflicted damage upon, and overall, I'm very pleased. I just wish it could have turned out more perfect. The watch has already been through a lot and I wish not to send it in again for further tampering. What do you guys think? Does the corner look all that bad? It seems to be the finishing that's slightly off. Maybe they took a little too much off? It’s not as crisp in the region. Would appreciate some feedback. Thanks! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

When I bring my watches in for service, my AD always diligently checks out and documents any damage he may find, including the crystal. I recommend doing this next time you bring in for service. This way, there’s no question as to who damaged your watch.
I do the same thing with my cars when I bring in for service. |
