My first Rolex was a DJ 41, that I bought from a TS on this forum before it got crazy. I would possibly sell that watch to fund another Rolex, one reason, it would be easy to rebuy if I ever had the desire

Depends on the person, but I sold my first Rolex (BLNR) and at times miss it but overall I'm happy I did. I'm on the if im not wearing and enjoying it, then I'm going to put it towards something I would wear and enjoy train. I know a lot of members here play Pokemon with their watch hobby and gotta catch 'em all...(also because they can), but thats not me.

Move it on if it enables you to buy a different watch that you really want.
As much as I've loved every one I've owned, I never associated them with other life events as some on here do. I mean, do people also keep the shoes/suit/car they owned when they married or had their first child etc.?

Sorry to hijack the thread, but how did you quote two quotes in your post? Thanks

Personally I couldn't. It's my first one, all the research i did, the stress of should I or shouldn't I, the feeling of finally owing one, I associate all of that with that watch. And that's really what owing a watch is about, not just telling time but your relationship with time.

Do you keep the girl you lost virginity to as your lover for rest of your life?
