I LOVE these posts! Thank you!!

The finishing on these movements always amazes me. Seems like a nice treat for watchmakers that the rest of us rarely get to appreciate. Thanks again.

I love these posts. Thanks for sharing. I noticed that the dial has various cracks in the material, although very light, what causes that? Just age? Or is it the material of the dial for 2 line subs that is prone to it?

Ashton rule: When you post update to your blog... you post here.

Very instructive and enjoy these types of pictures/technical explanations.

Rolex should figure a way to recreate spiderweb effect. Subtly cool!

This is what I love about mechanical watches, the combination of engineering, physics and art. Thanks for posting!

It is so fascinating getting to know all the mechanical parts and how they all work together inside a mechanical movement. Thank you for showing us some insight into how a watchmaker goes about servicing a movement. Beautiful macro photos and thanks for walking us through, step-by-step, into how you took it apart, rectified the problem and put it back together again. Fantastic content! Thanks!

I enjoy reading post like this. Seeing the heart of the watch is amazing. So many tiny parts working together to tell time within +/- 2 seconds a day. A true marvel in engineering.
Kudos
