Sell TT Sub to buy vintage 5512?

I have a chance to buy a really nice 5512 with authentication, original dial, hands, bracelet in very, very nice shape with provenance. However, unless another deal goes through I'd have to sell my TT Sub to get it. I really have no sentimental value for it except I like it. What say you? I do dig vintage but I would miss the date!

Opinions will vary, but mine is if you can get a 5512 as described jump on it.

Much more the true collector's piece and a lot more upside potential not to mention a reference that speaks to an era we will never see again.

What is the big deal?

With original bracelet that pulls the hair off my wrist.

Picture with a 93150 and 580 endlinks.

Mine keeps time within two seconds a day. Robust movement that will serve you well. My next buy will be a Sub without crown guards.

I would buy the 5512 in a second. You lucky to come across a 5512 is good condition, buy it now, then sell it to me when you get sick of it.

Buy what you like. If you like it do it. If your not sure wait. The no date thing is an issue with me too and mine doesnt get much wrist time because of it.

I would do it if the 5512 is original and perfect. I went back to the 1680 because I needed a date feature....but the 5512/5513 is MUCH better looking

It's moot now - someone ponied up and I had to move some stuff around. Hopefully it was someone here. As my Dad always says - "There's always another one"! - and I'm sure there is. I'll have a vintage Sub before years end -guaranteed!!! And I did want a Red Sub anyways.
