Panerai gmt or Rolex Air King

First post so can’t post pics.

Looking to balance out my collection a little and have it down between two completely different watches.

Current collection is:
116710LN - Rolex GMT Ceramic
126334 - DJ 41 Blue Stick Jubilee Fluted
126600 - SD43
Tag Aquaracer blue ceramic 43 on canvas - poor cruise ship decision.

What are the thoughts here on the Panerai GMT vs. Air King.

Air King would be at retail and Panerai at around 30% off msrp.

Thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.

Thank you,

cw

Congrats! If I had your collection, the air-king would never see my wrist. Assuming you're talking about the new air king, I like it but def don't love it. Can't stand the mixed minutes markers with the 3, 6, 9 hour markers.

Anyhow, I think you made the right call one the PAM!

I like the purchase, nice one! That is a good choice against the AK or anything else at the price. Enjoy!

I would mix it up a bit given your number of Rolex.

Panerai can take a bit of getting used to due to size and particularly thickness, but the more recent 4 digit rages are slimmer. I have a 233 which gets more wrist time than my 116710LN if that helps. The 233 is thick, but so much of it is the dome it doesn't lookor feel it as much as the 329 etc.

Thank you for the comments and welcome. I was actually looking at a Daytona 116515ln with the pink dial as well. The Daytona just seems to wear so small on me. Doesn’t matter if it is on metal or OF. For the next few weeks I’ll be enjoying this Panerai. Definitely going to take a little getting used to but so far so good.
