Mind to share your thoughts on my dad's recently acquired 16610 ?
Hi everyone,
Few months back my dad bought a Rolex 16610 from his younger brother for what i would say a sweet deal. My dad kindly let me wear the watch for now. My uncle bought it on a second hand market in Singapore back in 2011/2012. It didn't come with a box or paper, just the watch itself & the oyster bracelet. The 16610 has the P series (2000 i.e. my birth year) and DE bracelet. I think one of the lugs had been over polished since the spring bar is very noticeable when it is on the oyster bracelet. Also, what causes the second hand's lume to turn like that ? I just want to hear all of your opinions on my dad's latest watch purchase. Feel free to comment and let me know if you need any additional picts. Cheers guys! |

Great looking piece, congrats! How are you enjoying the quick change spring bars on that strap? Does it feel secure?

It looks well-worn but still in decent shape. The lume on all 3 hands have luminova which is a material activated by light that makes the hands glow in the dark. (The seconds hand have a little disk at around 2/3rds of its length.)

Are the spiring bars Rolex or aftermarket?

Thank you! I really do find it very convenient with those quick change spring bars. For now, I don't find any problem but will update you if it is failing. By the way, fyi the leather strap I'm using is the Painswick leather strap from Geckota. Cheers!
