Rolex 1971 1603 - weird papers?

Hi, there is this 71 1603 on ebay. The papers look odd, they are not punched and the serial appears to be printed on, not typed. Anyone seen anything like this before?

The paper is genuine - not a common version, but they are out there. One thing I have noticed with this type of warranty paper is there is usually a date which is stamped above the word Rolex on the lower right center area of the paper where it reads LABORATOIRES TECHNIQUES ROLEX. Below is one from my library of discarded papers.

Thanks Springer. So is the date stamped on the papers the sale year/month? These are pretty rare, I googled the heck out of this before asking you guys and there were no other examples.

The stamped date could be the date of sale I suppose...I'm not sure.

Below is one of my GMT 16750 sets, with the USA warranty paper and the same style stamping for the serial number.

jP, here is the code decipher for the red letters on your paper, in case you do not know, and for assisting others with the date codes.

Your A OOTL code indicates 7 2283 which translates into July 22, 1983, which is when it was SHIPPED to the dealer.

To decipher the red-stamped letters use this code, from the chart below: (Note the code name used is ROLEX WATCH)

R=1
O=2
L=3
E=4
X=5
W=6
A=7
T=8
C=9
H=0

I have never been to the gmtforum, so that is not where I found it. Don't remember where I got this. But it had to be either at TRF or WUS.

I never bought it, its still on ebay. I thought about it, its a lovelly full set but I already have a few silver dial DJ's so I thought it excessive to have three.
