AP Diver case question
Hi Guys,
have this question, bought a watch from a trusted seller, I have this doubt that does not leave me alone, I think the watch was slightly polished and I would like your opinion, if this can come this way from Factory, it was advertised as excellent condition and everything is good but I have a little bit of concern because of the seals if this was polished, I do not have many options I think, one would be to get Clearwater to do a good polish and that would take care of the seals, let me know what you guys think. Unless it said it was unpolished you have to assume it could have been polished.

What he said. Most trusted resellers will polish the watch.

I’ll probably have Clearwater do a polish to make sure seals are 100%

You could take it to a shop to do a water resistance test. If it's not waterproof send it to Clearwater. If it is waterproof you don't have to.

I think the entire watch is compromised... you should sell it at a (steep) discount to me! I can't really discern anything from the pictures that would be remotely detectable by the naked eye; I'd wear it without fear. If it was polished outside of AP, it would probably be obvious.
Seriously, if you are concerned, have the water resistance test done. If there are issues, contact the TS & advise them of the issue & they will likely take care of you (assuming it was a recent purchase). |

AP doesn’t do a polish for a Watch that is not under warranty, funny, you have to get the full service about $1,800

The bezel and lugs look good to me, are you highlighting the darker area on the crown guard ? - as others have suggested have it pressure tested locally and you’re good to go.

everything looks good and yes the highlighted area, the darker spot looks a little darker maybe it was missing a little bit of the sand paper, not sure unless sometimes came from factory like that, need a magnifier lol and yes I can just do the pressure test and always wait for the 4-6 year service :)
thanks for the help |
