Sub. If you want the last of the modern non-ceramic, look for a 14060M random or G Serial. I personally like the 4-liner to the 2-liner, anyways. Good luck.

Take the sub and keep the 114270, you will miss a Explorer in the times that you only wants to wear a watch....

The stamped steel clasp and fold-over safety can be adjusted with a squeeze of the metal if they get loose. "Field serviceable" in other words. Also, no complex parts to deal with. I've heard of a few cases of easy links getting jammed with grit/sand or losing the little roller bearing part. You can easily flush out all the parts of the older bracelet with water (which was probably how it was designed).

Concur (another 14060M owner.) Especially fond of the 2 up/ 2 down.

Go with the five digit sub and mod it with a glidelock .. I did that with my 16710 D serial and love it.

Sold a 214270 after a month of ownership earlier this year and I've not missed it at all. Go Sub.

Also, it would be a bit pricier, but given how much you like the glidelock, you could always go 16610 + 97200 bracelet (see: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=395550). I don't think the 97200 fits on a 14060m unfortunately.
