Is okay to have scratches in your watches means you actually wear em.

You need to think how this happened, name the scratch (or by the incident, ie “this happened when I was fighting that mountain lion” lolol) and move on buddy

Maybe post pics of your scars to make me feel better haha

Wear and polish it out at the next service.

I have one on the top of the lug, have to be in just the right light to see it...I;d say just ignore it, if you wear it you will scratch it.

absolutely leave it. It seems "so much", but is a very "light" scratch. RSC will salute it for you when you service it
Don't use "cape cod" et similia IMHO

Don't use Cape Cod, keep the scratch knowing you're going to get a few more. It's an Explorer, it's supposed to have them

I wouldn't worry yourself about it. If you don't think about it you'll forget it's there.

Purchased my Polar in April. When I got home, I realized it was exactly five years since my heart attack and subsequent open heart surgery. I got the scratch/scar today while washing my hands. This reminds me of my chest scar from the surgery. Going to leave it until servicing is required.

Wear it for another two weeks and see if you still notice it/it still bothers you?

I’m one to favor waiting til the next service but I know the watch is still pretty new and a service is probably ten years out so I’ll suggest the two-weeks approach instead on this one.

Inevitable tear and wear. Let it be until service time...

Leave it. It's gonna happen. If you saw my BLNR would would have a heart attack.

Leave it. If you try and polish every scratch you collect you’ll have no watch left by the time it goes for service. Mine had scratches, many more and deeper, and the professionals returned to Out-of-Box condition when it went for service.

I think it depends on the individual. I personally like to buff out minor scratches with the Cape Cod cloths, following the directions and only enough to get rid of the scratch. It makes me happy to have a scratch-free watch. Many seem able to ignore scratches, but they bug me. To each his own.

If you’re going to post a scar, post a SCAR

PS, I’m not getting it fixed
