YM42 is a Darth Vader of a watch--it's dark and big.

It certainly had a presence when I tried it on. No wonder it attracts people's attention.

I’ve gotten the most complements on my white Sky-D compared to my other pieces. The Sky-D already has great wrist presence, but paired with the less common white dial makes it really stand out in the wild imo.

The ym42 is a stunning watch. I was offered one by my AD and it fitted like a glove but unfortunately my finances couldn't stretch to it....

Very nice Bryant

The watch that I've received more compliments on than any other is not a Rolex

Interesting. I think it depends on where you live. I’ve had zero. Of course it’s only been six weeks.

Neither Smurf

Has gotten the attention I mention the YM has gotten in a short period. I have owned both for some time.

"Got attention with it ?
Too bad for me - don’t like any watch attention.
The YM 42 was on my purchase list within the next 2 years, but after reading this, probably will have to obtain another WG item (=the Smurf)"

Garbanzo go for it and hopefully no one will notice you:)

I have had far more comments about my Tudor Black Bay Red than any other watch I own, including Rolex.

That said, that YM42 is incredibly beautiful, and certainly catches the eye. Looking forward to seeing one in the wild.

Nice watch. I think the attention though is more a matter of positive reinforcement by friends who are happy that you’re not wearing the pink version. I kid.
Nice to see you back

Hope this helps and once again enjoy.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Bryant for the response. Can't wait for it to come in!

It's such a cool watch. I can see how the noir-ish look for the watch--the blacked-out bezel, the black strap, etc.--would draw people's admiration.

Anything gold will generate attention. For SS i noticed the milgauss z blue does well among non-wis. They notice and like it. Mosts sports do nobody seems to care/notice which is fine by me.
