Service crown vs original crown
Hi everyone,
Opening this thread to get your opinion regarding the price impact you would expect on a beautiful 1680 that is all original except for the crown which would be a 703 instead of the original 702. Waiting for your opinions/advices. Kind Regards ! :) |

Original parts are nice. But it's better to ensure that your case remains without water infiltration.
The crown change IMO has little overall effect on value. |

Original twin-lock crown/tube sets costs around $500-$750 depending on condition.
From my experience, most guys that are vintage Sub collectors do not give it much thought. Rolex and/or watchmakers were known to have replaced many twin lock sets with the trip lock sets when the trip locks became available.
