I agree the 5524 does have a modern look, but for me I preferred a watch with a more vintage feel so I choose the 5960 -particularly since this was my first Patek. I would circle back at some point at time and revisit the 5524 or the 5990 (if one came up at retail). But right now I’m focused on acquiring a PCC something along the lines of the 5159G.
