5164 vs 5167
I have my 5617, and I love it...the simplicity I think is understated and often underappreciated. But...the 5164 has me curious especially where 5167's are trading.
How much bigger does a 5164 actually wear. I know they are the same size but you have extra buttons and 2mm of extra height. Seems like not much of a difference, but maybe the busier dial also makes it bigger. |

All other things being equal a busier dial makes a watch look smaller rather than bigger...

I prefer the look of the 64 with the date subdial, but the proportions of the 67. 64 is a bit too thick for me, but if wearing bigger is the objective, 64 definitely fits the bill.

5167 prices have been rising crazily, but the 5164 even more so....I have been dealing with the same dilemma as you, and will most likely be changing to a 5164. I tried a 5164 and it definitely appears to wear bigger on the wrist.

Not sure I totally agree.....5164's went up, but they haven't held and are coming off pretty quick....last two weeks they tried mid 60's now mid 50's and still softening. Only a few weeks prior they were still mid 40's...and 5167's seem to be more steadily holding.

Irrespective of pricing I'd keep the 5167 for its simplicity and beauty and wouldn't want a 5164 for a number of reasons. First and foremost I don't like how the left-side pushers completely change the looks of the Aquanaut case (for the worse IMO). |

Its really not much bigger... I loved my 5164A and would get a 5164A over a 5167A if I had to choose.
I would keep a 5167R over a 5164R though. I just prefer the simpler look for a gold aqua reference. |

5167 looks too plain for me and that's why I got the 5164.
