Crown Ground
Hey Guys, This is my first post, I've been lurking for awhile!
Anyway, I was able to pickup this 14060 knowing that there was a bit of damaged on the crown. If it were yours would you get it fixed? It doesn't really bug me , but if it wasn't too expense to replace I would certainly consider getting it done. What are your thoughts? |

Crowns simply unscrew from the stem, so it is possible that you could replace only the crown.
Frequently, damage to the crown results in possible damage to the tube, and they can be provided as a complete unit and replaced. The problem would not be replacing the crown, but finding somebody who will do just that without a complete service if it isn't needed. I have an Exp II with a dented crown that has been that way for several years. Nobody notices and neither do I.

Honestly I would leave it as is. It’s new watch to you so every little imperfection may bug you, but just like scratches, you will soon not notice anymore...

If it’s due for a service I’d drop it in and let them take care of it. Great watch !
