No, they are not new "unobtainable" models...
And no, they are not both Rolex... I recently got my hands on a super nice X serial Submariner 16610 with tritium dial and serif insert, and a NOS first generation Vacheron overseas (49140) - those blue plastics after 15 years or so were a bitch to remove... That being said, don't be afraid to venture out to other brands. The VC is simply spectacular.

lovely watches. IMHO far better design than some of the box shape thick lugged design abominations coming out of Geneva in the last few years.
