Looks great on your wrist. If you prefer the explorer II; Trade up for the SD43.

16600 too small for me?

I disagree. SD wears HIGHER and NARROWER because it has smaller dial (because of thicker crystal) and no cyclops. Sub wears FLATTER and WIDER but doesn't feel as "bulky".

Here's my Sub and Dweller side-by-side.

I agree with you 100% but it is still not small for his wrist.

I once owned a black exp ii (see the pic below for size illustration).

The 42 mm Explorer is a bit large for you. A 40 mm would be ideal.

It looks perfect. 42mm ExpII looks way too big on him.

Just get rid of that ugly NATO.

I think 16600 looks better on your wrist

16600 feels tiny on my wrist compared to 116610
116610 which just makes the cut

I think that is my issue. I went from an 114060 to a 16600 so the maxi case swellage is screwing with my peripheral.

Watches always look bigger on wrist in photos. Go with what you feel comfortable with. You already know the answer to that without asking the question here. For what it's worth, the Explorer looks like it fits you better.

On paper, with a wrist like this, you should go for 42mm-44mm.
On photos, both look good (SD looks better because your POV increases the watch size). If you post pictures from sides, how people would see you, you'll see the SD still looks good but the explorer is the correct fit.

When you ask the question in that manner, yes. And I feel it is.

Imagine if you would have phrased your post with, "Does this look to large for me?"

See my point?

SD looks perfect on your wrist. I like to see a reasonable amount of wrist on each side of watch as I'm not into the current trend of a watch covering all of the wrist.
