Thoughts on DJ41

Considering the hunt for this watch....... this exact combination.
What are your opinions......

1. Is it too flashy?
2. Is it hard to get?
3. What are your general comments........

I started with this combo but chose oyster for a most sport look. And yes blue is hard to get.

Good luck with your hunt. DJ41s even with the blue dial are not particularly hard for an AD to order for you. This may be a biased answer as I have a good relationship with my AD. I like DJs in jubilee. Solid pick. Looking forward to your incoming post!

Latest news i heard was they can not be ordered anymore. Only OP39. But, you might find one. Better chance than other SS watches now.

Exact configuration I’m picking up from FedEx on Monday. I went to 2 local ADs in SoCal and they said 6-8 month wait and not guaranteed as no prior purchase history with them. I saw a deal through a grey dealer and picked it up. I saved from having to pay tax.

Great watch to have in a collection for sure. I chose the oyster with the smooth bezel - to me it gives the watch a more modern look - but you can’t go wrong.

Will likely buy the jubilee from my AD at some point.

Great looking watch and should not be very difficult to source. Good luck on your hunt.

1. Some will say any Rolex is flashy. The fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet are a bit “showy”, but so what? Are you trying to fly under the radar for some reason?

2. Shouldn’t be difficult to get from any trusted seller.

3. My general sentiment is that I love the DJ41, specifically with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. It’s a classic Rolex look. I’ve had two in my collection over the last couple of years (not anymore tho) and I loved them a lot more than I thought I would. This style works surprisingly well in both a formal and casual environment. I loved wearing mine with just a T-shirt and jeans.

Good luck in your search!

Wear what you would like and make you happy, without worrying about what others might think!
that is a beautiful reference. I personally like jubilee with smooth bezel. It makes the watch the watch more versatile with the Jubilee making it dressy and smooth bezel making it good to go on a T-shirt and jeans!

Thoughts on DJ41

If I were to buy a DJ, this is exactly the same one I would pick it. I think it’s a sharp looking watch and tend to not think it’s overly flashy.

I bought the same yesterday but black dial and oyster bracelet. I wanted black as I have a blue sub already. I was told by one AD that it took 6 months for a blue DJ41 to come in.

It’s the best combo, IMO. Do it!

I started with this exact combination but I have since changed my mind, my reason was that the combination is too flashy for me, I am not the type of person who will wear a sparkly watch and boy does this sparkle.

Having considered the various options I have decided that an Oyster with a smooth bezel and the blue dial is my preferred option.

I am going to hold on the fluted bezel until I can afford the DJ41 with a YG jubilee and gold dial and wear it when I am on my world cruise and enjoying dinner with Captain.
