Anyone a fan of this stuff???
I've tried a few, their sourced stuff is better than their own production, in my opinion. I picked up one of the Bourbon Country cask strength releases and was highly disappointed. Way too young (only 3 years), lots of corn on the nose and palate, just a high ethanol burn on the tongue and almost no flavor. I was disappointed, especially since everyone I see online raves about it.

So I ended up dumping it into a mini-barrel and it is currently aging some more. We'll see if that helps, but it's not even drinkable for me right now.

I’ll be traveling through Germany and Poland next week. Any duty free bottles I should be looking for, other than Jack Daniel’s 100 Proof or the Blanton’s Gold and SFTB? Ima new to the international Whiskey release markets...

Had snorts of the following this past week:

Old Fitzgerald 13 y/o Bottled in Bond
Old Forrester Birthday Bourbon
Weller CYPB

Weller definitely was head and shoulders above the Fitz and Forest. Fitz >>> Forest......

This is part of a larger series...i'd pick up two. One to drink and one to keep, would be nice to have the entire set over the next several years.

I didn’t know those were hard to find, readily available at a store near me. Today I picked up (2) E.H. Taylor small batches, weller special reserve, sazerac rye, buffalo trace, and a issac bowman port finish.

I did find (2) blood oath 2’s right near me for $139 but not sure if they are worth that, any thoughts?

It’s kinda hard to find in my area (WI). Picked up this bottle in Chicago. . All others you’ve listed I have except Isaac and blood oath. I really like the EHT.

Funny! Just noticed you’re from Chicago.

Ha, yes. Northern suburbs actually. Haven’t tried the eht or blood oath yet, going on reviews I’ve read. Trying to branch out past my love of rye. This thread is and isn’t helping as I feel the need to buy others....

Just got home from Scotland (camping with Johny, fellow TRF member.) and I went to my favourite distillery, Lagavulin!
Johny and his wife wouldn't even let me pay for the tour, they're very kind and generous

Now some pictures
