Need advice royal oak offshore 42mm

Hello

I am looking to add a chrono to my collection. I really like the royal oak line. New I can not really justify the price in my head. Second hand however they hold their value quite well and with this in mind I can justify buying one. What reference do you guys recommend? I am fairly new in the watchgame, I have some hard to get rolexes like the new gmt blnr and sub in steel, I know the rolex game quite well but I need to learn more about AP. Therefore I am here... any advice is welcome :-)

I'm not sure the offshores hold their value my friend, so buy them second hand. Now the steel Royal Oak and the steel jumbo should be purchased at retail IF you can get either of them.
