This is my favorite Tudor chrono--on bund--but I'm afraid it will wear too big.

Speedy wears so well. And buying and selling them is so easy. Get the standard moonwatch, but some fun straps, have a great time.

I think you should ask yourself if you're okay with hand-winding your watch.
Personally I won't go back to hand-winding, but there are people who aren't bothered by this.

I like the Tudor, even with the screwed-in pushers. Lol

Looks real sharp on strap or nato

Edit: actually I think I like this on the bund strap. And I m not a bund guy. Lol
I might have to pick one up...

I like the splash of gold with touch of red.

And it has a date feature

The Tudor dial seems more legible too (vs speedy or Daytona)

The reg speedy is little dull imo (hence I have the 45th version)

I don't think the hand winding or limited reserve would bother me too much since this is a watch I would only occasionally wear. The date on the other hand is something I think I would miss.

But I think you guys have convinced me to go Moonwatch first, Tudor or other chrono down the road.

Price is another factor in Omega's favor. Pretty affordable watch on the secondary market.

Was just thinking the same. The speedmaster is more iconic but I like the look of the Tudor more. The water resistance of only 50m on the speedmaster is an issue for me as when I travel I like to wear my watch I’m the pool or ocean. I wont settle for anything less then 100m.

For me, without hesitation the Soeedy.

But, for you, what is it about the Speedy that has kept you from buying it?

Only debating between buying one, or doing a trade with my BB blue. Also looking for a good deal on a used one.

Can't compare that chrono to an iconic watch such as the Omega Speedmaster.

I love the SMP, but I have had four on them. Just two weeks ago I was about to buy another. It got sold before I go get my ducks in a row.
Right now I’d go Tudor instead of a new SMP. It I find the right SMP used that’s what I d do.
I’m still looking and considering a Speedie that was meant for Japan market.

Moonwatch for sure. Agree it looks best on a different strap - not the steel bracelet.

+6k for this Tudor is crazy, who are they trying to fool?

It's gold plated and any TT Tudor simply doesn't look good. It has this fake/bad looking colour.

Partly gold plated.. (i.e. bracelet)
And my vote goes for the Tudor. The Speedy never did anything for me

Speedy on Nato. Love mine. I have never felt the urge to own a different chrono.

If you're in the market for a Speedy, wait a month or two to see what Omega releases for Apollo 11 50th Anniversary.
