If TT watches were out of fashion and not profitable to sell, Rolex would not be producing any-supply and demand.

I think tt watches depreciate at a similar percentage to SS watches after discount. For some reason large discounts are offered on gold or tt watches and little if any discounts on SS.
As an example, I got 25% discount on my tt sub (116613lb) in Jan. this year. I doubt I could get that on the SS. |

While travelling in London last year, I was taking the Tube when a teenage boy got on the train wearing a very flashy YG Yachtmaster. I could be wrong, but my guess is that it wasn't real. Sure did sparkle, though, and it was not a good look. I'm old enough now to afford a real gold Rolex that sparkles (Day-Date), but, mostly it only comes out for pretty dress-up affairs, and then, not always. Unless you are high society (I am a long way from that), this seems a time for the understated. I like to wear an Explorer 214270 (simple, at home for play or work), a no-date sub (the picture next to the word iconic in the dictionary) or a vintage SS Datejust. I'm not looking to hide my watches, just to be a bit reserved about it all. If my attitude is anywhere related to the norm, then TT Datejusts are not going to be in as great a demand as a few years ago.
