Ouchy momma! On the plus side, the bracelet didn't suffer any scratches.

Sorry to hear and see it, Tim. Sounds like the sort of thing that usually happens to me, but hasn't with a watch and hopefully won't.
I'm sure RSC will put it all right for you ! You have my sympathies though.

That was my first thought as well, but I doubt my wife would go for it.

Cheer up, Tim; the service guys will have it good as new...

Sorry to hear this.

Guess it's a good reminder for us to take more care at tile floors. Bathroom seemed to be a dangerous place.

OMG that gives me such a terrible feeling rightin the pit of my stomach.
I had a scratch just under the cyclops which can't compare and I ran off to Rolex Canda for a new crystal ASAP

Good luck with the repair

A new crystal and a blow job and it's good to go again.

I have been very careful in the bathroom but wasn't in my dining room.

My kitchen table has been taken over by a Linux project for the past few weeks and I didn't notice that my watch was slowly being pushed towards the edge of the table.

I appreciate the kind responses but I'm pretty laid back and know what I have to do to make it right. The watch would've been 4 years old on July 22nd and was close to needing an initial service anyway. Again, C'est la vie.

My only quandary now is do I have it polished. I have several "love" marks on it already so I'm thinking no.

Again, thanks everyone! I'll take some better pictures of the damage and post new ones when returned.

Tim

I'd wait until service unless it's sharp enough to be a problem...

Well, looks like it was just the crystal, good thing really because once replaced it will be good as new. Had it landed on the case side then it would be really painful.
I have a strict policy that I do not put on or take off my watch unless I'm doing it above a soft surface, like my bed, couch etc.
Once the crystal is replaced it'll be good as new.

Tough break but I guess you can just look at it as getting it's next service earlier than you planned.

Ouch!

Ironically you had it on a NATO... which would have helped with a spring bar failure... but you deliberately sent it to the ground!!!
