Had a 5990 for just under a year and wear it more than any of my others. I should be about ready to let it go, based on my history, but I love it. It's not going anywhere.
For me, the size is perfect. And the slimmer bezel (than the rest of the Nautilus line) is a big plus, IMO. |

This echoes my thoughts. Picked mine up nearly a year ago and love it :) I travel quite a lot as well, and between this and my BLNR I'm covered from a traveling base (but definitely still some GMT's/world timers I want!) Changing time zones on the 5990 is even easier than the 116710. It wears very comfortably, easy to read and rarely do I need more than a 60min timer. Good water resistance, and very easy to dress up and down. 5712 is most likely more liquid, as the 5990 is pretty expensive for a steel watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

5990! Love mine.
I didn't like it at first but it grew on me. The only naut ss I need is a 5990. Useful travel time complication. Love the heft too. Hard to get now in our country with wait list. Sells above retail in Us grey dealers. Correct me if I'm wrong.

At the end I think it all depends on the wrist size... if you have a small one it will look a bit bulky ..

Its a big watch haven't tried it on yet. Personally don't hate the 5990. Thats a hard pick between the two. I would try both them on and you'll just know.
