Govberg is aiming for the customer who will pay extra to have it now

If you stop by ADs in your local area and tell them you're ready to buy, there's a good chance they'll sell you one

The greys are playing impatient people for suckers. Its obvious. BLNR is not hard to get nor is the 116610LV hard to get. Both easily obtainable from multiple ADs across the USA.

called one local AD they have one and the lady told me someone at the moment was looking at it, it was around 10am not sure if it was bluff.

if available should I ask for % or something out of the question ? on top of the price I have to pay 8.25% :( or better to call dealers around the country

You're not going to get a discount on it at this point I don't think. You're lucky if you found one at retail, I haven't.

Well, "lucky" being a relative term I guess.

I am not sure anyone can help really. I wasn't that blown away by one in person but you may be. I found the color a little cartoonish but that's me. Most people love them. Go see one and if you love it buy it. At an AD the worst case should still only be retail price.

I live in Westchester, NY area, yesterday went to the Westchester Mall, Tourneau has lots of watches, lots of Daytonas, not ceramic of course, a few SS Sport models, not a huge inventory. Usually the store is dead and I am the only in there, but yesterday it was busy, so was the mall. OP, if you are going to buy a new one, I recommend before Thanksgiving, people were shopping heavy now, just wait during the Christmas season. Call around to AD's I have seen them in stock.
Anyone who wants to know the stock at Tourneau, please pm me.
They did have a WG GMT, I have seen lots of them around, big price tag, also had the 116710LN in the display. OP, consider the 116710LN, just bought one from a trusted reseller, and love the piece. I owned the Batman some time ago, liked it, but like the all black as much.

Loved mine.. grew bored with the Blue and Black Combo. Paid 8,900 new from my local AD no tax.

Sold it to DAVID SW about 2 months ago with a pretty solid offer.

Most likely going Bluesy in December or January

Always wanted a two tone and the sunburst dial seals the deal for me

Still a Great watch.. if you like the combo .. GO FOR IT

GMT Batman

I drove to an AD today in Pittsburgh to have them look at my DJ II. Was talking to the sales lady about the batman watch, and all of a sudden she's pulling one out of the back. It looks even better in person compared to pics. I asked her if it was available to purchase. After a couple minutes of debating, I said I'll take it.

I was talking to the owner for about 20 minutes and really enjoyed the conversation. He was talking about his supply and how he can't keep them in stock. Guess I got lucky. Can't wait to start wearing it tomorrow.

I'll give a plug to Henne Jewelers. Nice people and really appreciated the owner, John, spending time talking watches with me.

Curious as to which SS sport models they had in? I was in there the other week and the cases were pretty empty of SS models, must have got a new shipment in.

Batman got sold saturday, I waited long, I went home Monday and started making phone calls to all dealers, no Batman in stock to my luck.

I found a dealer with 3 locations, I called the 1st one, lucky me they had one in stock, but the lady told me they need it to verify my address personal info and bunch of things and usually like a 4-5 day process I was shocked for the verification process

hang up and called the other location, again one in stock maybe it was the same don't know, I asked the guy and his answer was " sorry but reserved for local customers" let me get your info and I can call you tomorrow.
I was like, what ???hummm ok .

I called the 3rd location, Sales guy picks up the phone and the same but this guy was very rude and told me " NOPE can't sell you one" you need to come to the store.

so after calling 20 other stores got frustrated and give up.

next morning Tuesday, I received a call from the 2nd sales person, all happy " I can sell you the watch" I was surprised and ready, but then he asked for info, need your SS# CC info DL bla bla and I told him no SS# LOL not buying a Car or getting some credit loan, I have only my info copy of DL and payment, hang up and a few minutes later a phone call and everything was approved, tomorrow Batman should arrive.
