I only wear Turks Head fabric cufflinks with dress shirts, Metal cufflinks can easily mark like that!

Scratches happen, for sure. A fact of life.

But, man, that does appear to be excessive for that side of the watch.

And you were not wearing the jacket out of concern it may scratch your watch, but now will apply felt so you can wear it??

Gee, I dunno... I don't take any precautions, I just wear them, but I have far less damage on my 35 year old Sea Dweller, than you are showing here. My wife, OTOH, is real watch destroyer.

In my experience the scratches on that surface usually result from meeting the door knobs.

It took about 2 years, but now I don't care about scratches, either on my 16622 or my PM Rose Gold Daytona. In about 8 years or so when I send it in to the RSC, it will be new again...

And yes, your scratches, look cool and add a certain character to your Awesomely used Rolex!

That really does not look bad. I honestly wouldn’t loose a wink of sleep over it. Enjoy it. You should see what my kid did to the bezel on my explorer after he smashed his lacrosse stick off it. A deep gouge which is just a reminder of the times we spent together. When he grows up it’s his anyways.

Thanks all. I also use these as a Easylink protector inside the clasp. This all started with my Harley leather riding jackets decades ago. That inside metal cuff snap beat the hell out of any watch I would wear. This isn’t OCD but just taking a very little effort to avoid needless wear and tear. These felt pads are designed to put on the bottom of hard items as not to scratch a piece of wood furniture. That’s maybe a $2k coffee table, we are protecting a watch that cost car money.

Put a crown on the green felt and I could have sold them for $10 for a 3 cent part.

It’s just, watches need some wear like that ! It’s part of their life cycle! Enjoy your clock buddy, after a night of cocktails I expect Atleast 3 new scratches.

Nope, not even wet. Here is the original one I put on 2+ years ago and this watch has been in the pool a lot.

Watch in the back. I probably will put on another one soon. Notice no marks from the clasp on the top of the easylink after 2 years.

YES I know I'm a Psycho as my GF calls me but I like my shit perfect for as long as I can keep it.
I used to be this way many moons ago with my watches until my Uncle once asked me if I had relations with my wife or do I want to keep her like new for the next guy, ever since then I have been wearing and enjoying and not making myself nuts anymore with it.

I know how you feel. I hate scratches too, but you get used to them and they are easily polished out by Rolex at the service.
