Wash in warm water and hand soap. Dry with a soft cloth. VOILA! Clean and pretty.

Well I can turn your polished gold Rolex into a 100% brushed finish in about 30 minutes with a scotchbrite

...what does that say?

There is more to a scotchbrite than just nylon. It can scratch and permanently ruin a glass auto windshield. Don't ask me how I know!

When all else fails, read the manufacturer's instructions:

I use a baby soft toothbrush on my watches including my all gold ones. Doesn’t hurt a thing!

I second this. I've been using both since day one and have never had swirls or scratches. You would be amazed at how the watch shines better than just plain soap. Whatever Wristclean is, it works! I bought a few of the brushes to use on jewelry as well. They usually have sales around the holidays. I would never use an actual toothbrush on the polished gold links, especially not one that has ever had toothpaste on it. I'm pretty sure most toothpaste is made to be somewhat abrasive.

Well then you are not cleaning the dirt out from between the bracelet links and your bracelet is therefore stretching quicker than it should. So, yes, do use a toothbrush

Honestly, if you are worried about what a tooth brush will do, you should probably just leave the watch in the safe as just regular daily wear will be harding on the watch than the toothbrush.
