can i clean 2-tone rolex (yellow gold and steel) with tootbrush
I'm afraid toothbrush will scratch the gold because gold is soft.

I washed my bluesy with the Veraet soft brush at first, and it quickly got a bunch of micro scratches. I've since switched to dish soap and a microfiber towel so as not to cause further damage. The yellow gold is so much softer than the other materials, including everose.

Never use a toothbrush.
I first hold the TT under warm water and then rub it in with my soaped thumb and index finger, rinse it off with warm water, and then gently dry it with a cotton cloth! Watch looks perfect after this! |

Soap and warm water and a VERY SOFT ARTISTS BRUSH (it will not scratch) that you can get at any hobby store.
Follow up with polishing using a ROUGE-infused polishing cloth you can get at AMAZON (AVOID the generic microfiber cloths, you want the Rouge-infused.)

Caring for your Rolex
You can help preserve your watch’s lustre by cleaning it occasionally with a cloth. You can also wash the case and metal bracelet from time to time using soapy water and a soft brush (not for leather straps). Water is the natural element for a Rolex with a metal bracelet, including the salt-water of the sea and ocean. The above is from the Rolex site. A toothbrush is fine just use the softest one you can find and use it in conjunction with soap and warm water. |

I use a toothbrush on my TT. It is not particularly soft, and I've never noticed any more swirls than I've managed to put on the clasp via regular use. |

24k gold can be indented with a good bite. But agree, not the 18k in a Rolex. Dental alloys vary a bit - might consist of 62%–78% pure gold + platinum, silver, palladium, copper and/or zinc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

It's also not the best thing to use on the brushed steel parts. Definitely not something I would ever use on a watch. Fine for polished gold jewelry, but that's it.

Here’s mine, fresh out of a bath with a toothbrush today. If a toothbrush is giving you big scratches, you’re doing it wrong. Also if a toothbrush is your biggest concern, you’re wearing your watch wrong.

Same here no issues on gold. I think an extra soft babies toothbrush would be fine as well.

I have only used a small babies wash cloth, Dawn and warm water on my YG Sub. No toothbrush. The mirror polished surfaces get micro scratches from just normal daily wear. If you clean your watch every few days on a normal routine it will stay clean enough to not warrant a tooth brush scrubbing.
