Tudor BB58 more desirable now?

My wife loves hers and will wear it over her Cartier! She’s always admired my BB ETA Blue and when she saw the 58N with the rose gold tones, she knew she had to have it. She loves that she can dress it up or down depending on what other accessories she wears with it.

I am not a fan of the 58B after trying it on but I have had a change of heart on the 58N. If I did not have my BB ETA, I would totally wear it.

I also wouldn’t compare a Rolex to a Tudor or vice versa. If I want a Rolex I will get the Rolex and if I want a Tudor I will get the Tudor. Despite the similarities they are very different watches. Both well crafted and will serve the owner well.

My BB58 hands are turning the opposite way from my GMT Master 2 and OP39. Is this normal? So if I turn my crown “Forward” the hands turn counter clockwise.

For people with smaller wrists the size-increase will make a noticeable difference, even if it's just 0.5mm, the new bracelet and clasp will make it wear a lot bigger. No problem for people with larger wrists (Annoying as there are so many watches I'd like to wear that are just too big for me).

The BB58 is perfect for my wrist though.

Incomparable if you ask me. Every time I have tried on a Tudor it feels a huge step backwards that a Rolex.

That sounds about right though. As the Tudor range BB is a 5 digit also. Back to Rolex ‘flimsy‘ bracelets etc.

I feel no difference comparing the BB59 to a 6digit sub. Quality wise.

Sure there's 120 clicks vs 60, but everything from the clasp-operation to winding feel is similar.

Comparing BB58 to a 5-digit sub, the BB58 feels better.

Funny how people have different wearing experiences. Most of my collection is Rolex (both 5 and 6 digit), and I don’t feel this way at all when I put on my blue BB58.

Yes it is the blue one, depending on the lighting conditions it can look almost black at times. Specially indoors without direct light the dial looks really really dark. As soon as the light hits, it gets this warm blue tone which is just MMMMMMMMmm

Introducing GMT will be one of the most amazing thing IMO. The blue tone of the BB58 makes it more desirable.

I hate to agree with this but I do. It might all just be about the bracelet though that leads to the lower feel in quality for me. I had issues with my bracelet when I had the 58 black: (1) the links kind of rub up against each other and lead to abrasions on the links - not the best design, (2) I could not get the right fit, and (3) the clasp got tight/stopped working on mine and I needed to take it to the service center to fix. All of this led to feeling a quality drop off feeling from Rolex (even Omega). That said, I'm still drawn to it and am considering the blue to give it another chance...

I don't see them going up in value nor down. I have and love my BB41 blue eta and am thinking of adding a black 58.

Can you imagine if Tudor made the worst business decision ever and discontinued it. I’m assuming it’s going to be a model they offer permanently but who knows.

The BB58s are wonderful watches and perfect for smaller wrists and ladies can rock them too! (Just ask my wife). I have both and found not enough on the wrist to suit my style. The execution at this price point is amazing

The BB Blue awaits my 16 year old son at 18 but lately I am thinking at least 21

I own the new BB58 blue and absolutely love it. The size is perfect, the color of blue is ideal, and it has substantial heft on the wrist without drawing too much attention. And as a fan of the earlier vintage blue Tudor Subs, this is a super throw-back.

But equally important, for me at least, is that it fills a key role in my collection in that it is also my "travel" watch. In those instances, where I am on vacation or business and don't want to be wearing a Rolex for various reasons, I feel the Tudor BB58 blue is ideal.

Most people would not notice the difference between 40 and 41 mm, and as most reviews pointed out that the new subs wear very similarly to the old one. If there is anything that will increase the demand for BB58 its because people can’t get the new subs.

I think that is part of it for sure, but I also think Tudor did a great job with the BB58's they put out.

For "normal" people walking into a Rolex AD looking for a nice watch, the BB58's are very attractive. Half the price with the backing of Rolex and have proven very dependable so far.

There are also people who prefer the more "vintage" look instead of a highly polished, luxury watch.

I am seriously considering a blue BB. Great size and Rolex quality at an affordable price point. Not all of us Rolex fans have the money to buy multiple $10,000.00 plus watches.

The Tudor BB58 is a great watch. I do think it might steal some sales from the Sub. However I also think that this watch can exist perfectly in a watch collection with a current Sub so I would think some folks would buy both.

If they made a BB58 GMT without the date, that would be a good seller. I would love to own a Tudor GMT but I am scared away due to the date issue and the reports that even after Tudor "fixes it" the problem happens again. I am surrounded by things that tell me the date, I don't need a watch with one on it. That said, if I have a watch with a date, it had better work all the time

I have not been able to find the right fit. I am going to order a NATO band and if that doesn't work I will give it to my son. I really like a 39 to 41mm watch and have never had such a poor fitting watch.

I have a Deep Sea JC 44 and the slide lock makes it very comfortable. The BB 58 Blue on an SS bracelet just doesn't work for me.

Give this a shot. Bulang and Son. Bit of a motorsport look and fits very well.
