My preference: Full RG CHNR >>>> BLNR> TG CHNR.

Keep in mind the audience here is filled with guys who own half a dozen black bezel subs, all on oyster bracelets, that differ only in font idiosyncrasies. So this is probably the wrong venue to get perspective on such things :)

Keep both, they have the same function but different look, both are gorgeous.

I have all, CHNR, Pepsi, Batman and waiting for Pepsi with meteorite dial.

I disagree. They are two completely different watches; looks and wears differently. I have the BLNR but will likely get a CHNR this year and I will keep both.

Blnr no question. Rolex rose gold is too pink for me.

BLNR! Have turned down three CHNR in the past 6 months. BLNR and my beloved BLRO and I am good. Don't get me wrong the CHNR is beautiful but not for me.

Why would you get put on a list if you couldn’t buy both?

I struggle to imagine myself in a scenario where I ask an AD to be put on a waiting list and then when I receive the call, I go post on an online forum asking strangers for their opinion on how to spend my money....

CHNR for me, prefer the oyster bracelet, overall RG makes it a more distinctive watch

The funny thing about the CHNR, when I first saw it I was against it. Didn’t get the brown. Then I saw some photos I liked. Then I saw one in person. Most of the time, it looks almost more burgundy to me. It goes so nicely with the rose gold and the contrast against the liquid smooth black dial is stunning. It also really pops, very vibrant, much more in real life vs photos. The biggest thing for me is diversity. As others mentioned, there are many similarities with Rolex sports models. This one stands apart. I would say this is a great collection watch for Rolex fans like myself. Will see how I feel overtime, but love it.

Thanks all for the excellent and diverse opinions! Please keep them coming!

I have no idea why I got offered these watches in such a rapid timeframe. Im in a relatively small market and maybe the usual customers are sated, at least with these pieces.

Point taken on whether this is a financial question. Its probably fair to say it is a financial burden to drop 15k on a luxury when I just bought a watch 3 weeks ago. We can easily afford to keep both, and the want is strong now, but if I'm going to spend there might be other places I should put that money.

We put our name down on the list because we can't just walk into an AD and compare pieces side-by-side anymore. Im planning to wear the BLNR to the AD and put them on my wrist together to help me decide. Im telling you the TT CHNR looked stunning when we saw the salesperson walk by.

I like the suggestion to buy the CHNR and evaluate over a 4 week period. I will also ask the AD if they buy back Rolex and what they would offer for each of them.

CHNR, and it’s not even close. BLNR is quite ugly, the least attractive Rolex in its current lineup imo.

Two different looks. The CHNR is not for everyone. I like rose gold, but some don’t for men. BLNR is a good look, but the BLRO looks better IMO. Go with what sings to you.

Just shows how different we all are....I think the new batgirl is a gorgeous watch and just don’t feel the CHNR despite having been offered it and trying it on.

I agree with brand. Two different watches indeed although sharing the same complication. What’s cool in keeping both is that you and your wife will be wearing them at the same time.

If the AD does buy the BLNR back it’ll likely be for less than MSRP. Better off selling to a trusted seller here and you’d get the CHNR close to the retail price or a BLNR + 1-2k. Makes sense to trade up that way as it lessens the “sting” of buying another 15k watch.

My AD offers msrp with tax for popular watches as long as I keep coming back. They sell it at msrp as well. They don’t make more money off of it, but keep their customers happy and loyal.

They sell pre-owned at MSRP? That's a great AD then. I offered to sell my 116610 back to my AD when I wanted to upgrade to the 126600. They offered $7500. Trusted sellers were at $9,100 (had a scratched crystal). There is a preowned sub in my AD's case and they're asking $12,000 for it.

Yes, if it is a current model. If it is discontinued i get the current msrp. I love the business model!

The value of the BLNR won't decrease in 2/3 months and in the meantime you can enjoy both watches.
I have both and despite being GMTs they are completely different and can be part of a small collection.
Agreed.

CHNR in this scenario because you already have the Tudor as a beater.

What I’d rather do personally is drop the Tudor and keep both Rolexes. Then also add a sub bracelet for the BLNR to make it the new beater.

I'd keep the BLNR and get the CHNR if possible. I'd sell the Tudor and other watches to fund it if needed. You can always sell one of them without losing anything if you change your mind.
