Got the call: CHNR or BLNR?

Picked up the 126710BLNR 3 weeks ago and loving it! The jubilee is awesome aesthetically and in comfort and I got it sized to perfectly fit my wrist. Still waiting to receive the warranty card in the mail however. While picking it up at the AD a salesperson walks by sporting a CHNR and it looked amazing. My wife asked the AD to put us on the list, and today I got the call for the CHNR!

So should I keep the BLNR or sell and buy the CHNR? I can't see keeping both because bracelet and gold aside they are the same thing. I also have the Tudor GMT that I love wearing and beat up in the field when working, and some other non-Rolex watches too so this wouldn't be my only watch.

Both are beautiful. Just decide if you want a steel watch or a two tone RG.

I would pick the BLNR.

I haven't seen a CHNR irl and am on the fence from the pictures I've seen online. Although I'll admit that it is probably my favorite Rolex TT. I also don't think that the Jubilee bracelet looks right on the BLNR, I much prefer that watch on the oyster bracelet.

So if it were me, I'd sell the BLNR and get the CHNR

TT Chnr > Batgirl. sell Tudor, and get the Rootbeer to share with your wife. This will give you good history with your AD to try for harder references if you want any in the future. The two are different enough in my opinion, one is black and blue vs Black and brown. TT vs only steel, and jubilee vs Oyster

That's quite quick. You are very lucky.

Can you buy the CHNR without selling the BLNR?
The value of the BLNR won't decrease in 2/3 months and in the meantime you can enjoy both watches.
I have both and despite being GMTs they are completely different and can be part of a small collection.

Got the call: CHNR or BLNR?

simple answer is; the one you like the best.

the same watches, but at the same time very different. (visually)

now my personal opinion if i were in your shoes.. i’d sell the tudor, keep the Blnr and chnr!

I just got the CHNR and love it - but also want the BLNR as well. You can have both!

CHNR. CHNR's magic will continue to marinate over time, getting better and better.

Can't decide for yourself? Flip a coin. I personally like the BLNR more but not my decision to make.

Any chance you can keep both at least for a little while so that you can spend some time with both and see which you get on with better? Then you can sell it and likely come out ahead too. But as others say, if you can keep both, do so!

I disagree with your premise, they are completely different watches. They wear differently and the aesthetic is different enough that you could easily have both ... his and hers

Sounds like the CHNR might make more sense for your collection and uses you’ll get out of your Rolex

But what the real answer is whichever one you prefer .. unless if both are an option..!? Just grab the CHNR if it makes sense for you financially—- and the. hang onto both of them at least a month or so and see how you feel !!

I could not disagree more. There is nothing remotely similar about the two pieces. They look like completely different watches. If you can’t afford to keep both then choose the one that sings to you most.

I like the TT CHNR bet of all the Rolex GMT Masters and I can see how it would pull you. It's a visually clever watch and striking in the metal. I'm waiting for a SS BLRO to go with mine. I have (when possible) SS and TT siblings. I think your BLNR would pair with it nicely. But it's really up to you.

I'm with the majority. The two watches are very different and both really beautiful. So, if you can manage both financially, own both. If you can't, pick the one you love better AND think you'll be able to wear most. While I don't share the view, a lot of folks think casual and business casual don't accommodate the TT watch as well as they do the SS or WG. I'd go with the CHNR if I had to choose. But that's because it's the one that sings to me.

I love the batgirl, and am not crazy about the chnr. However if you need to sell one, I’d pass on the CHNR and let someone get it who wants to keep it.

If your AD gets a sniff that you’ve flipped either one (and ADs do find out In all sorts of ways), you’ll likely be blacklisted. That’s not worth it IMO

Just got called for one as well. If you can swing it, keep both. I assure you they wear and feel differently.

The BLNR and CHNR are two incredible watches and are quite distinct from each other. If you can, buy the CHNR and rotate between the two. In two to four weeks time, if you are still not in love with one of them, then you know the answer.

Not a good picture, but the bezel/bracelet combination on these watches makes them ideal for my GMT collection.

My preference is the BLNR. Also keep in mind you can run three bracelets on it. Sub 116610 glidelock, 116710 PCL oyster bracelet and of course the jubilee!

Bracelet and gold aside, so's a Casio.

As an owner of both I would take the CHNR 11 times out of 10.

But they are different enough that my preference would be both.
