A few points:

1. If the Rolex sales associates are to be believed, yes, the company does release watches in batches.

2. Don't fall victim to "survivorship bias." Yes, you may witness more "incoming" posts- but out of how many people on wait lists?

3. Plenty of people with extensive collections get Submariners- but they're less likely to post them than to post that new 116500LN Daytona they've been waiting for.

4. More and more people are discovering r/watches, TRF, WUS, and so forth. The hobby still continues to grow. Today's quantity of GMT "incoming" posts may indeed exceed the most recent "incoming" wave of Submariners, but assuming the market trend continues, the next wave of "incoming Sub" posts will likely outshadow whatever you're seeing today.

No reason to read into anything.
