i do like the new Kermit - probably more than the Hulk since it's not quite so boxy... but I did like the green face...

I told my AD I want it, we'll see if he still has it!

+1. Still waiting for mine, have been offered 2 wimbledons instead. Passed on both.

I don’t understand. You asked for the watch, it took some time (people have waited longer), you got the call, and you’re now more concerned with why you got the call instead of collecting the piece you asked for?

Lol. He might break even if he decides to sell it tomorrow after all the fees, tax, etc.

Actually I asked for a Hulk, a Looongggg time ago, waited 6 months or so, got offered a black sub, turned it down, and then they discontinued the Hulk so I figured that was that.

Fast forward 4 years, and I get a call out of the blue for a Kermit. I'm not being ungrateful, just seemed very strange since we hadn't spoken in years, and that wasn't really the watch I was asking for...

I'll go ahead and get it, since it is a nice watch, but I'm not used to AD's calling me for ANYTHING, let alone for something I didn't ask for... Again, not complaining, just commenting that maybe it means the tides are turning and they can't sell all the ones they get anymore.

The reasoning process sounds like this:

If they offer it to me, there must be something wrong with it

Similar to the I wouldn't go into any nightclub that would let me in.....

Luxury goods cause funny reactions

Yeah, you may be right! Regardless, I'm going over on Tuesday to pick it up! Hope it doesn't turn my wrist green or give me cancer or anything

Nothing seems to reduce popularity faster than availability.

It’s not raining LVs in my world!

But the idea seems to be if he is offered the watch it can’t be desirable?

That AD remembered him from buying that diamond bezel and dial Datejust and wanting a green submariner. He must like him so that’s good! Getting a chance after four years wait is not out of the blue. Interesting why can’t he think he deserves it?

Well, it depends on your money.. Another option is to use the cash to get some interest.. I do not think I would buy it, since I am not a fan of green.

Well, I got it!! It is a beautiful watch, and I like the weight of it -- feels more "Substantial" (pardon the pun) than my GMT-II, and is surprisingly comfortable.

Congrats Dan!

I like mine a little better than my Pepsi in real life. On paper and in forums I would pick BLRO but I reach right past it after work and put the LV on.
