I love my SkyD Blue on oyster. I kinda wish it was on jubilee. I don’t wear mine much but I’m glad I have it.

I do wear my 126515 sundust dial rose gold oysterflex Daytona regularly.

I’d keep the blue SkyD and add the Daytona.

As blasphemous as many here will find it, I don’t really love the Daytona. I think the Skydweller is cooler and a much more unique watch. If you want precious metal, have you considered a rose gold SD? With the blue-green dial it’s beautiful.

Have had the SD Blue for 4 years, my favorite Rolex... until my RG Daytona on OF. That said, I couldn't imagine parting with my SD. I geek out on the movement. Honestly getting the Daytona in RG on OF only made me want to trade my Batman toward SD on OF, but it's an extra 10k over Daytona so I can't justify that to myself right now.

Suffice to say keep the SD, and hope you get the RG Daytona. The '23 model is fire.

I know what you mean about the BLRO. The rest of my collection gets neglected when I'm wearing mine because I find it very difficult to take off. But as soon as the blue Sky Dweller on Jubilee goes on the bond is instantly there again. Getting rid of either is unthinkable - for me. Each to our own.

Yeah I just love the fit of the BLRO. It just feels more comfortable to wear. I do always get compliments on my SD with jubilee though so I know what you mean.

You know what I’ll do I’ll start wearing the sky dweller more. I’ll switch off between the Pepsi and this during the week and let me see once I’m wearing it more if anything changes.

I would love to just try one on. What made them so much more comfortable than the models before also, do you really think ADs are selling more than usual? I don’t want to get off topic here just curious cause I was gonna go to my graymarket dealer.

This isn’t a bad idea. Adding to my considerations. I really love this stainless steel sky dweller, but for some reason ever since I got my Pepsi, I just haven’t worn it much other than nicer occasions so I’m gonna start trying to wear more just as much as my Pepsi and see if anything changes.

But I like this idea, I would actually love to try on both the rose, gold sky dweller, and the rose gold Daytona side-by-side

Yeah I think people either love the watch or hate it. I think it does feel a bit bulky to me, but I love the look and the movement but of course the way it feels on your wrist is equally as important.

I have not been giving it it’s fair share of wearing that it deserves.. I’m gonna do that and then come back and revisit this entire idea which would either cement the idea or halt it.

I feel like I like the skid, dweller better and stainless steel or white gold. I would need to try one and have it on my wrist to see what it looks like in Rose gold but for me for some reason recent pictures, I feel like I like the look of the Daytona and Rose gold better.

This is what I’m leaning towards right now, but I would like to try on both the rose gold Skywalker and the rose gold Daytona, and just see what both of them look like with oyster flex and precious metal bracelet

Biggest difference between the 11 series vs 12 series Daytona OF is that the 12 series has a glidelock system where was the 11 series had an easylink.

Guessing you went grey? Is the RG Daytona near MSRP?

I'd do it. Many will disagree with this but I think less is more with watch collecting. Maybe collecting is not the right word, I'd rather have 2 watches that I love and wear all the time, than 10 that often sit in the box, regardless of the price or quality of them.

I think all three will make a good trio but if it’s between the SkyD and a PM Daytona, I’m going with the chrono every time.

I have a love for all four of these watches. It’s only 4 Rolex’s. Each one very different and a specific reason I love them all.. couldn’t give up the blue SD. For now all four will remain in my collection/get worn all the time.

Great decision to keep the Blue SS Sky Dweller. What. A. Watch. You need to realise how incredibly lucky you are to own that piece. Not many will ever get that opportunity.

BLRO is my thinking on my next piece.. hmm ;)

I think that pretty much covers it. In your position I would want to keep the Sky Dweller because I don't mind owning a watch that sees very occasional use if I love it. You seem to be leaning in a different direction and have essentially answered your own question. You do you and be happy.

Good move OP.

It’s always better to keep what you have and add. You can always unload the un-loved reference later
