Pepsi would be my vote if I could only have 1. If I could get both, I would.

Daytona.

For “pepsi” I prefer the pre-ceramic models.

BLRO on an Oyster, not a fan of the Daytona.

Daytona - which I am on the waitlist for. I got the Tudor GMT with the opaline dial to take care of the BLRO itch!

For me:

SS Black Daytona > BLNR on jubilee > SS White Daytona > BLRO

So if I was you in your situation I would go Daytona, but you have to get what you like better.

BLRO was my must have watch, now that I have it, I’d love my second watch to be a Daytona. Not sure it’s ever going to happen, but I’m glad to have my #1 pick.

Got the BLRO already, wasn’t for me. Waiting on a black Daytona now. I like the white though, if i had a choice between the two, Daytona.

If you appreciate the ability to tell the time, BLRO. If you are looking for, maybe the best, piece of sporty man jewelry get the Daytona.

A recent Daytona convert.

I use the chronograph as a second time zone when I travel.

The minute register can also be used to track days of the month.

Of course it isn’t as convenient as the GMT master , but the Daytona does look much sleeker with its case shape compared to the blockier maxi case.

Never cared much for the Daytona. That lack of interest in the Daytona specifically has only been further fueled by the constant chatter around resale value, MSRP vs. grey, perceived scarcity, and hype. Someone earlier commented that the Daytona “was in a different tier.” Not sure what that means, as they’re both merely stainless steel Rolex watches. Unless it’s another comment around hype and schmoozing watch salespeople to get one.

OP, buy what you like more. They’re both stainless Rolex watches, and can last a lifetime plus.

All this in the two weeks since you got it? LOL.

Love the Daytona, though think the 126 is a bit… chunky looking. Busy… overdone.

The 116… now that is properly sleek.

The BLRO is missing the color vibrancy of the aluminum bezel color / contrast. Daytona still wins.

I wonder how many current owners held their Daytonas through the big up cycle? I saw them touch $40k (reality highs) and $50k (BS highs) and never had an inkling to sell mine. Knowing full well it would drop back down in value as the idiocy cooled off. I do wonder what proportion held through and how many owners bought at those highs and now need to justify their purchases… IF those purchases were stretches.

I’d hope someone paying $40k for any watch is playing with “fun” money… but based on a lot of commentary… not so sure.

Yes, I am a recent convert and readily admit that I really like the 126500LN Daytona now.

The previous generation Daytona references still don’t appeal to me though.

I reckon part of the reason I like the 126500LN so much more is probably because I own a yacht master too and the case design of the 126500LN is almost exactly the same.

Wondered the same myself. FOMO was real for many in 2021/2022. Also hope no one got into financial trouble buying stainless Rolex watches.

This always comes up and honestly the Pepsi is just a much more useful watch. I wore mine on holiday recently and the GMT function is just so useful and the iconic Cyclops and so comfortable jubilee in different weather conditions is completely unmatched.

But Panda Daytona always seems to win the flex and popularity contest no matter what. Just hate to say it but I would chose it too no matter how much I love the Pepsi.

Both at retail then the Daytona wins. The 116500 is probably the best iteration of the Daytona there has been.

The dream is to have both or a PepsiC and a PM Daytona on OF.

I’ve both and would struggle to decide. I’d base it on whatever else I had in my collection and maybe the deal I could get.

My collection would be incomplete unless I had both! Grab which one you can first, then go after the other one. Good luck!

BLRO for me. The date window and two time zone complication are much more useful to me than the cluttered dial and chronograph complication of the Daytona.

I love my 116500 but my new GMT on Jubilee is an unbelievable watch both in looks and wearability. So much so, I have to force myself to wear my other watches!
