Puffy, I think we have a match to your M277xxx

And finally my V192xxx purchased Feb 2010:

Notice the very faint text on the dial compared to the previous production LV's

I like the less bold/extreme text too...
Maybe pics don't show it but mine is not "thick" either...

CL means 2004 so correct for an F

the 93250 stamped on the last link before the SEL is not always a given.

let's see a pic of the dial...

Here we go - a lovely NOS example originally sold in October 2003 and then put away - still stickered - for safekeeping. The serial is F020XXX.

Then might I suggest you look further afield other than the very very small WIS market. Then perhaps you will get a true picture of the amount of slight dial variations in these LV,SD,Sub or any other Rolex dial.

padi56, why do you continue to rain on Puffy and others parade concerning their interest in LV dial variations. As far as I can see they are not asking you, only members who have an interest. If you have no interest why not let them have fun with it.

It as indeed the large "Swiss Made" (5 ticks), oval O on ROLEX... but no Flat 4

Thanks you ;)

Ok guys I have a question since the is THE LV thread. I recently bought a M serial LV with a slightly scratched bezel. Would you have it replaced or leave it as the original? Thanks.

yes this is a MK1 dial but in a very late F serial with pointy 4

just goes to show that Rolex uses whatever dials are available and left over!

i'd leave it unless the scratch detracts from the overall condition of the watch

you can always buy a spare LV insert
