Nope
It's a keeper. The fun bit is switching out the Oyster for a SJ or going NATO, or Everest rubber strap.

This for sure....will be my next buy - 100%. Seen one in the wild, one behind glass & constantly looking here for nice shots of them in every day wear before pulling the trigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No it is not the BLNR which is being overhyped, it is the Black Bay Black, goodness knows what would happen if a green version came out. The BLNR is special if only for the fact that Rolex chose to put a two tone ceramic bezel, which took a lot of development, onto a stainless steel watch.

In the example above, perhaps 3 years of enjoyment would be worth $800? As I get older, time becomes more valuable than money. Of course, there's always a balance, and that balance point is different for eveyone. |

I own a BLNR and I'm getting sick of the BLNR being the default answer on the forums. "What should I get "...."BLNR"
Guys, toilet is clogged, what do I do? "BLNR" Lost money on Tesla stock, what do I do? "invest in BLNR" Need a new car, what do you think "BLNR" What is so interesting is that the BLNR was once destroyed by forum members complaining about the purple hues, and that in some light, it looked black. Even complaints that Rolex chose the wrong blue. I blame Rolex. In a good and bad way, the BLRO in white gold secures the BLNR's value for the pedestrian Rolex owner, and the BLRO is for the Rolex connoisseur who loves the true GMT-II Pepsi of days past. If the BLRO was in SS, BLNR would be a side-bar. |

BLNR is just a great everyday watch. The blue is just enough to give a casual flare. But other wise a very balanced watch for a one watch owner. The only thing if I can change would be a glide lock clasp, and I'm being picky. Blue and Black is a very nice color combo, and only attracts the right attentions.

No fatigue here. Just traded by DSSD for the BLNR. I'm getting too old to pull off the DSSD, but still think it is a great piece. Love my new BLNR.

Based on what you have I'd say that's a good choice

I've only seen one BLNR in the wild. It was worn by one of the pilots on our SFO->ICN flight. Two other BLNRs I've seen in real life (other than mine) were worn by people I know and never at an AD since they're never in stock. |

I've never seen one in the wild. Then again, I haven't seen my Hulk either. Seen lots and lots of black submariners and datejusts though. Doesn't bother me in the least, I love my black submariner and wear it all the time. As others have said, if you want real exclusivity Rolex isn't the brand to wear.

Lot of density here. I never said anything about what I've seen or have not seen in the wild, just that this site has BLNR fever! It's just a bit tiring is all...

Easy, keep on scrolling by BLNR content if you don't like it. I'd not have started a thread on them if I wanted not to see the content, btw. |

It's a great watch. Another modern classic. Not surprised to see so many enthusiasts on here posting pics. Definitely on my short list to own.
To be honest I have yet to see one in the wild |

Never noticed one in the wild. I have seen 2-3 at AD. I really don't care if other like them. Best to stay away from Rolex if you need to be exclusive. Living in Los Angeles there is a fair amount of consumption.

I did not like BLNR that much when it came out, but 1 year ago in Mexico I saw one in the wild. I was in love. Still that one is the only one i´ve seen in wild and I ordered BLNR from my AD two months ago. Still waiting it to arrive.

I have never seen one in the wild within the DC-MD-NOVA area where I'm based. Had mine noticed a couple of times while it was on my wrist (once at a Costco, once in a resto). |

In NYC, and I've only seen 1 or 2 in the wild... As long as you love it, nothing else should matter.
