Hard to believe not a single photo of the Sub C and only of the Sub C Dates. I'll fix that.

I'm a little surprised at the poll results. I guess that is because I prefer the Sub date to the Sub and I guess we all subconsciously think our opinion is the popular one. Personally I can't own a watch without a date. And if I could it would be the Explorer.

Had several variations of both. If I can only choose one, I would go no date.

I have the date version so I'm going with that! But you can't go wrong with the no date version!

I'll tell you the truth, I'm wearing an 114060 right now and its cool, BUT!!!!
I have never worn a submariner date and someone say to me, " O you got the date version...why"? But I have had many people see my "no date" and say " why did you get the no date" in a disappointed tone.

If I only wore one - date (because i never know what day it is)…. but if you wear a lot of different watches every week… no date… and if you want the "classic" … no date

Back in the early 2000s I purchased my second Rolex a 14060M a yr later I sold it , why I will never know .
I also got a 1990 BM sub date and loved it emensly, strangely that got sold to .
I gues I should have never sold the 14060M in the first place I would still have it and probably not aspire to have another.
However my wife always knew I pined over the none date , hense my 40th birthday present bought in Paris this year.

All my Rolexes have No Date. I like the cleaner look as well as I dont have to set the date. However, all my friends who wear rolexes have cyclops. Even my wife commented "why did you buy a no date rolex?" when I got my Sub C No Date. Heck, I love my No Dates. But one fine day it will change when I finally get my Ice Blue Platinum Day Date.

Oddly for me...

The previous iterations I by far preferred the date version.

The newer ceramic versions I far prefer the no date.

In terms of the newest ceramic versions, I prefer the Sub 114060. For some reason it just appears more clean and proportionate to me.

It's a toss up for me between the 5 digit Sub date/non-date versions. I've owned the 14060m, 16610 and 114060. I would (and will) have any of the three of them again.

I agree that the 14060/114060 has a very clean, balanced look. But, I really enjoy having the convenience of being able to tell the date when glancing down at my wrist. So, being a practical person, I pick date.

oh wow, i thought the ND would be in the left field, an odd ball. And I would have this nice unique watch... and turns out it is MORE popular than the Date one in the polls. eh...
