First new Rolex purchase from an AD .
Retail was $800ish I remember paying $600 and thought they were
still robbing me.
My third Rolex, both prior were pre-owned (used).
Incidentally I was 18 years old.
Yes, unfortunately all are long gone.

CHNR will be my next addition, I’m 50 now and hoping it lands before I’m 51 in 5 months time.

Got mine in December at age 42. Was a little unsure since I wasn’t able to see it before my AD called me, and I couldn’t have been happier when I saw it in person the first time.

EDIT: can someone create a poll for me, as I can't have this option :/ Perhaps, 20-30; 30-40; more than 40. Thank you.

Late 40s. I don't own one yet, but I'm on the "list" at my AD for a TT rootbeer.

37 here, and on the 'waiting list' for one... Funny how tastes evolve. When it was first released I told myself that the CHNR was the only Rolex I would never buy.

Old as F! Or, apparently, young as a spring day! I think Axion is trolling all of the Root beer owners but like the beverage itself, it may be an acquired taste, for a sophisticated palate… hahahaha! I actually don't like the beverage.

reminising with a rootbeer owner

I remember going to brotherhood winery for a family day outing when visiting NJ. I went into the restaurant on site to see about reservations for us, like 12 people. I was wearing my 166710LN. The owner had on a rootbeer GMT. I admired it and he admired mine. We talked watches for a few minutes. He told me it has been on his wrist daily for like 35 years and his daughter has staked her claim when he kicks the bucket. That had to be probably at least 5 years ago, maybe longer. I sure hope he is alive and well and wearing his Rootbeer GMT.

Bought my TT CHNR last year at 61, but owned my first RB GMTII in my 40s. Love the combination.

I found mine in my late thirties. As an enthusiast with a passion for GMTs, I had to have one and have never considered selling it.

Exactly! Wait, what?

I’m 48 and purchased mine from the AD one year ago. Love it and always in the rotation.

So who’s tallying up the average age here? What’s the data show? Old fogey watch? Super cool young and hip and fly watch?
