Just be prepared for your systems to change as you get older.....let's just say they can work differently when you reach your 40's and 50's.....

Very nice Leo! I've been thinking of getting myself a rather large back tattoos and a few more but I'm going to wait for quite a few years before making my decision. I want to have some but I want to make sure it's not a phase and that I'm ready to live with them for the rest of my life!

P.S.: Lovely ring!

Good morning fellas! Leo- your concern over my wording is a valid one! and Carl- if ever you have intestinal issues....eat lots and lots of unsweetened yogurt! (you might not find yourself so "windy" then )

Leo- your tattoo bears a striking resemblance to Aslan- from C.S.Lewis' Narnia Chronicles.....one of my very favourite book series!

Even Aslan can feel a little "windy" sometimes

this is actually a beautiful painting- Aslan had the ability to transport the children between worlds, just by exhaling on them!

DRAT!! If I had known that the Princess Leia costume& wig were up for grabs....I would have put in a bid for them!! Minnie Mouse does not do them justice!!
As for a Star Wars movie coming out every 3 years...they could do that!- There have been so many books written, where the movies left off!

Wes, thank you for the compliments.....I actually have quite a few that have accumulated through the years...mostly of plants...

Michelle, Thanx as well.....I always enjoyed reading the Chronicles of Narnia too...one of these years I'll pick them up and reread them.....

I'm also looking forward to the movie 'The Hobbit Part 1'.....I believe it's due out on December 21st of this year at the movie theatres.....

My name is Art and I am a chocloholic.

I pretty much gave up chocolate about a year and a half ago, just tying to eat better. I have a passion for Godiva Liqueur Truffles. I love dark chocolate. Maybe I'll have one from time to time. My wife will by a 4 pack here and there. If she bought the large box I will eat them all right up. Today I came home to two large bowls of candy bars waiting for the Halloween kids. Some of my favorites are in there, mounds, reeses, m&m's, yes with peanuts. I broke down and had 3 small mounds bars, couldn't help myself.

Michelle, when you go to NYC check out the M&M and Hershy store in Times Square.

Oh, when she is not looking I'm going to eat some more, what the heck.

Good luck Art! I stopped eating chocolate, chips and anything related to junk food for about 10 months (I stopped at the end of last October and started to eat junk again - from times to times - last July/August) once...believe me, I know it can be hard sometimes...

Happy Halloween Art! yep.....this is a devistating time of year for us chocolaholics....
We are serving up kitkats, smarties, coffeecrisps, tootsie roll lollipops, and of course- little caramel squares (no Canadian halloween is complete without those )
So here is a true confession of a chocolaholic:..............I buy WAY too much candy...IF we get 20 kids tonite we are rocking it! Whats left over ties us over until Christmas cookie time.....which, if rationed properly, will lead to valentines day,(more chocolate)......the Easter bunny brings more in April.....then we chocolate-addicted types hit a long dry spell- a chance to go into a self imposed rehab. (Summer= no chocolate special occasions)....cleansing and preparing for the next Halloween...............

Well, I wasn't fat. Just had a tire and small stomach fat that would be normal for my age. The Doc told me my readings were on the high side that it was time to grow up and eat properly. (He is a friend). I was eating fast food every day and eating junk in the eve's. He had me report back in 4 months, all my readings fell into the normal range and I had lost 25 lbs. I didn't even know I had that much weight that could come off me. He was shocked. I did it all by just eating normal. No more junk, no red cokes only diet. I don't eat as well as I was but WAY better than before. I guess you could say that I leveled off.

I love pizza and chocolate. I do get a big mac about once a month.

Ha Ha, that's funny. You have some of my favorites. Kit Kats and the tootsie roll pops. The carmel squares are good to melt and dip apples in.

Have you tried the Godiva Truffles? If you haven't, don't.

Unfortunatley yes I have!
We are also blessed (or cursed) with a few amazing chocolatiers in town whose hand made truffles and chocolates are downright dangerous!

LISA- you are probably getting the little dunkers all gussied up for Trick-or Treating.....I wonder if you put out those fantastic papier mache masks you had made- I remember seeing your post of them in the "artistic" thread a while back! If you get a chance, would you post them in the "shop" here?-would be a great way to mark Halloween in the cofeeshop!

WTH
It's Halloween night and I checked the TV listings to no avail.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show isn't listed to be shown.
WTH
This is as much a tradition for Halloween as listening to Alice's Resturaunt is on Thanksgiving.

Funny, Dave and I's first date was supposed to be the midnight showing of that movie. He didn't show up, and I thought he stood me up. Turns out, that afternoon he smashed his hand at his summer job at a steel factory... he'd been in surgery all evening.

Here are a couple of pics to set the mood... hope all have a howling good time tonight!

Happy Halloween Bill! hope you find your show somewhere...have you tried online? My daughter often watches TV shows and movies on line,
Our Halloween TV tradition was Charlie Brown's Halloween

To be honest we don't watch the Rocky Horror Picture Show every year on Halloween. I just thought it belonged on TV at this time of year and it seemed a shame that it wasn't.
My sons never seen it and my bride couldn't care less.
It's a hollow desire.
Speaking of Hollow, I didn't see the Sleepy Hollow show on either. It's legendary.
WTH

Well, I have just finished watching Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin....all by myself; remembering how the kids used to spread out all their candy during the show and trade stuff... (Austin has a peanut allergy so he gave all the Reeses and peanutty chocolates to Kate, and she would give him chips, rockets, tootsie rolls...).....sigh now its just me eating too many kitkats...
