Cape Cod works on the Panerai... well!

I bought some Cape Cod cloth from Ace hardware and tried it on my newly acquired 312K's bezel.... it acquired some hairline scratches and a very noticeable abrasion. All while diving in Maui.

So, I am glad to report that it works near perfectly!

Steps I took.
1. Washed the watch with soap and water.
2. Dried with cotton cloth.
3. Placed saran wrap over 1950 case body and sapphire crystal.
4. Cut some Cape Cod and placed around the head of a Qtip.
5. Rubbed back/forth for about 5 minutes.
6. Took the Qtip that touched the Cape Cod and rubbed the area for another 30 seconds.
7. Took the Qtip edge that didn't touch the CC and rubbed the area for another 30 seconds.
8. Took the cotton cloth and wiped off the residue.

Spit shine!

Try it fellas. I know there has been a lot written about the Cape Cod material, it does work for sure.

Nothing will happen to the crystal.

If you happen to get some Cap Cod residue on the leather strap it may stain it.
