Would you do This TT Sub Ceramic Trade? Is so, what would you pay?

I have 2 month old TT Sub Ceramic Blue new style (116613) purchased new by me from my AD. I have a lead on a solid gold T series (95/96) all gold yachtmaster, blue dial, in mint condition w/box and papers (foreing country papers) from a grey dealer. Very reputable dealer with whom I have done business in the past in fact. The blue dial on the YM is quite stunning, and I am seriously considering a trade. Would you do this trade (I DO like YG) and, if so, what would a fair amount of cash coming from me to the dealer be? (I won't taint things yet by telling you what has been offered, as I'd like independent input). Thanks!

I'd recommend the upgrade too. I actually prefer the blue of the YM compared to the blue of the Sub....and I'm a big Sub lover!

Come back with pics once you've done the deal!

Thanks all. And, for the second part of my question, what would you say a fair amount of cash would be going from me to the Seller? (That is an important component!).

Personally that's a ceramic your trading valued at 30k , going price for an AG yatchmaster 11k you should be getting a kick back sort of speak.

oh and by the way: The YM is described as having the following number of links, etc:

"13 total links, 5 with screws". Does this mean that there is a screw missing? (Should there be 6?).

It is a TT sub ceramic that I have, not an all gold.

(sorry to repeat this, but I think it got lost in the wrong place on this thread!).

Would definitely go with the all gold as it has already taken most of its depreciation hit. The ceramic has a long way to fall and will certainly do that once the new wears off. Personally, I would go somewhere between $2500-3500.

Thanks all for input. Seller would only take my watch plus 5K for the deal, so I had to pass. (Well I didn't HAVE to pass, but it seemed like the wise thing to do).

The only upgrade is the precious metal both watches are basically the same movement wise and style. But normally the TT watch will hold its price better proportionally than any solid precious metal ones.

You did the smart thing. 5K would definitely be overpaying a bit.
