Good manners....A thing of the past????

Responded to a "For Sale" ad for a watch....The seller was kind enough to email me back and tell me that the watch had been sold.......Nice to see that there are still some people out there with good manners....It seems to be getting harder to find....

Agreed.

When communicating with people electronically, it seems that some say a lot of things (or not) that they wouldn't say (or ignore) when face to face.

Agree 100%

But I must say that I've been lucky so far. Sure, I haven't been in this game for very long, but so far all my - "Is this still for sale?" - questions has been answered in a nice and communicative way. Hope it stays that way!

Cheers,
Joe

I have found the sellers on here to be extremely professional and kind in their responses/communication

And...it is more rare in the retail industry...definitely has declined...amazing when you think of it....have to say though that I find it much worse here than in the USA .... remarkably non plussed here in general terms

I always look at the people around me and wonder if these people had parents. The way people behave is incredible, my parents would never have allowed me to be so disrespectful. I feel like society is de-evolving... is that possible?

I think you are correct. Kids seem to be far more disrespectful in the last few generations...

100% agreed...I think kids are let off on way too loose a leash .... loss of perspective....politeness and courtesy to others is 'taught' IMHO...and therefore needs to be learnt.

You are correct. I was raised by my parents, to be polite and to mind my manners. I appreciate it very much when I deal with well mannered people.

The sellers here on TRF are the best but I have had some great experiences all over the net like the most recent purchase I made on TZ. Most people are decent enough but there have been some pretty cranky types... makes me wonder why you list a watch if you don't want to be contacted about it?

I like it when once the watch is sold.. it is listed twice.. one with the original description and another one that says SOLD..
I hate it when I am interested in a watch.. look at the pictures... and 4 bumps below it says SOLD..
