Icon20 Questions about my 1st Rolex

Good Morning,

This is my first posting, great forum and hello everyone. I have a question about my first Rolex purchase which I hope to make shortly. I am looking at a ladies Rolex DateJust two tone 18k. It is a private sale and the seller has the original box and paperwork and has agreed to meet me at an authorized Rolex dealer to verify it is authentic. The selling price is 2395.00 and looks, by the photos to be in fantastic shape, it has been serviced within the past few months. Is this a fair price? Is there any need to meet him at the dealer since he is willing and has the paperwork and box? Any information you could provide would be fantastic.

Thanks again

Paul

Well, we'd need to know the serial number or year, and also the dial (diamonds?)...

Do you have pictures?

Paperwork, boxes, receipts and watches can all be counterfeit so regardless, meet this person at a Rolex dealer to have it authenticated.

Can't advise on the price without pictures and at least the first few digits of the serial number so it can be dated.

Thanks for your help, I am not feeling the love with it so I might just buy one new from a dealer and eliminate the worry. Thanks again

Hi PCLIII, welcome to TRF

Its always a gamble buying pre-loved, there are alternatives, why not have a look at the for sale section here, we have many members that have excellent background and selling history. have a read through the rules, as soon as you can post there, pop in a wanted to buy, you might find exactly what you want

Again welcome and I hope you enjoy it here as much as we all do

Dave.
