What is the strangest thing you do with your Rolex?

OK, true confesions here. I stick the watch under a bright light every nite before I go to bed and then pull the covers over my head and watch the hands and face in the dark. I like to watch the second hand move around and see all the details in the glowing parts.

I know, I know

Not so strange - I keep a UV flashlight next to my bed and hit the watch every night before sleeping. ;D

The only thing I have noticed strange over say the past 10 years is a vast change in the Rolex wearers. Because after reading the many posts on TRF, Rolex watches sure now get a very very pampered life.

well i agree with Dan, is not strange to look it at night with the lume, not strage to shower or mesure shower time with the chrono, what is strage is that the watch is a part of every photo we take, if we have a picture with the family, we have to make sure the watch is there smiling at the camera, my wife always says : "deja la fiebre esa con los relojes" (stop with the feaver of the watches), she does not like my passion... but she enjoy the good timepieces and always buy me a watch when she is traveling....

During times of trouble, I place my Rolex against my ear and lose myself listening to the melody of chimes. All becomes well again.

Padi nailed it on the head.... Rolexes nowadays are too pampered, I say screw it. My DSSD hasn't come off my wrist for the last 4 days (day or night), before that the GV was on for about 3-4 days, DSSD again before that... I do EVERYTHING with my Rolex, they're meant to be worn. When I wear the Breguet though, I do take it off for some activities, as it is white gold, which is a bit soft. Highly doubt I'll own another precious metal Rolex (well, maybe an Everose Daytona), as I like to wear them. Precious metals are just too soft.

Every night, I creep slowly out of my bed holding my watch dearly, and wash it in Jessica Alba's extracted tears while muttering in Latin to myself. After this ritual I proceed to cut off the finger of a random person I find on the street and burn it at the altar in my bedroom as a sacrifice in worship of my watch. After this is completed I scotch-tape an octopus tentacle to my forehead, and run of into the night, screaming with glee.

Yeah I do that every night.

Many of the above affectations are done by me---I particularly relate to the OP...gotta savor the freshly charged Superluminova under a dark blanket.
